Earlier IT Career
As Head of IT for London-based software house HPD Software, he was the technical lead on a pioneering SaaS (Internet-based Software as a Service) launch of HPD’s factoring software in 2001. The picture to the right shows HPD’s managing director Mr Tony Davison receiving the Queen’s ward for Export Achievement, gained during Peter’s time with the company. HPD provided mission-critical software and services for Fortune 500 corporations.
Earlier he worked in the further education and healthcare sectors on systems integration projects. The picture to the left was featured in a case-study by Peterborough Software of the implementation of their Open Door payroll and personnel system for over 6000 staff at Bromley Hospitals, Kent, UK, and shows Peter with team leaders John Smith and Tanya Cowin.
Music Career
Following an earlier career as musician, Peter enjoys making music as a hobby - his music site is www.youtube.com/dippingbird
The photo to the right shows Peter with 2005 Grammy award winner Amrit Sond, with whom he worked in 2003-4.
Peter’s one and only release as a ‘record producer’ was with the immensely talented Billy Jenkins on his album When The Crowds Have Gone, released on the Babel label in 2004.
Again on a musical theme, his mentor at Lewisham College, who gave him a head start in the IT industry was the supremely talented Richard Jones, shown below. Before his own move into IT Richard was a member of Climax Blues Band when they had their worldwide hit in 1976, ‘Couldn’t Get it Right’.
